My BMW R1150 GSAA at Deals' Gap

My name is Brian Young. By day, I'm an Engineering Manager at Eaton Corporation, focusing on the development of cool, network-enabled widgets for various electrical and metering products. In my spare time, I devote my attention to my wife Elizabeth, my micro-business Alt-Moto.com and of course motorcycle riding.

My main ride is our 2002 BMW R1150 GS Adventure. It's the focus of this blog and the ongoing discussion and debate regarding how much farkle is just too much.

In addition, we own a 1998 Ducati 900FE, 2005 Triumph Thruxton and most recently added a 2006 Kawasaki KLX250 dual-sport.

Do I have Multiple Bike Syndrome? Most definitely.

Elizabeth is not a rider, but enjoys being an occasional passenger and is a fine supporter of my sickness.

Here's Elizabeth and me at Road America - Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin during a recent summer motorcycle trip with our friends Ed and Robin Gray (photo credit goes to Ed). Elizabeth and I both grew up in central Wisconsin, but have been living in Raleigh, NC since early 2001. I'm a "rounder" here. We had a much shorter riding season in the frozen tundra.
